Shirts N Sauces was born out of a need to create something that could accomplish several things. One, it needed to be self-sufficient with the products we produce. Second, it needed to be growth friendly, and third, it needed to be all inclusive.
On 9/11/2001 a pledge was made to create a program that could assist men in their efforts to starting anew, becoming a more positive impactful member of their community. In 2014 our founder, kept his word and honored his commitment to create the U-Belong Program, a program specifically designed for assisting adjudicated adult males returning to the City of Philadelphia.
For approximately four years while partnering with The First Judicial District of Pennsylvania he helped over 200 individuals that had been referred to his program. Unfortunately, as impassioned as he was about the mission to give back and help, he was less consumed with the necessity of maintaining appropriate funding to sustain his efforts.
Now, in 2024, with the creation of Shirts N Sauces, its primary existence is to be the pathway back to and the sustained benefactor for the U-Belong Program. To allow space for each participant to tap into their own potential creativity, adding to this platform. To learn and directly benefit from the fruits of their labor while simultaneously giving back to the next group of men starting out where they once were.
